Theatre through arts education and professional stage productions.” Our vision is that arts and
education benefit young African American, Latino, and Caribbean students by encouraging
theatrical studies or a lifelong passion for the arts.

first Summer Stock Theatre Festival. The initial focus was on play production with professional
actors. Over time, the organization has evolved and expanded to embrace arts education for
young people that exposes them to theatre arts and prepares them for careers in the theatre,
television, and film industries, in a wide range of roles including acting, designing, production,
While training Black youth and showcasing Black artists is CCF’s primary objective, we also
serve Latino, Caribbean and Caucasian students between the ages of 13 to 22, most of whom live
in disadvantaged neighborhoods in the boroughs of Harlem, the Bronx, and Brooklyn, and attend
some of the most under-resourced high schools.
